This morning I got up early to go to a pressday for a store here in Sweden called Gina Tricot. The store is great and I shop there often, they’re sort of like Forever21. They have inexpensive and pretty clothing and the collection changes regularly. This morning they showed us (the media/press) some of the upcoming pieces that will be sold in fall 2009.
Some of the inspiration is 80’s!
Everyone got a goodiebag that included two tank tops and a pretty orange scarf.
Everyone also got to shop for 50% off the entire current collection in store. Now, how could I resist such an offer? I got a pair of black chinos, a sheer black tank and a sheer white tee for a ridiculously lovely total price.
They also served breakfast at the event but it was so early that I wasn’t feeling hungry yet. I only briefly swooshed by the breakfast table and saw they had some kind of yoghurt, orange juice and coffee and I think there were some little nibble things too like mini-sandwhiches or something. Obviously not vegan so I figured I’d just come home and have breakfast.
10:35am Breakfast. The usual. Soy yoghurt, kiwi, ground flaxseed. Whole grain rye cracker with cucumber and alfalfa sprouts. Melon and green tea.
I have been such a lazy bum today! It was pouring rain all morning but eventually it cleared up, but that still didn’t get me off my butt and out for my walk. Not proud of that! I kept trying to talk myself into it but it just wasn’t happening. Anyway, I got hungry for lunch early today.
1:25pm Lunch. I seriously crave this wrap every single day. And can I just say, that apple was so good! Perfect combination of sweet and sour.
Did some more lazyin’-around and then got a bit hangry in the afternoon and got an idea of something fun to make.
3pm Tea time. I made some blueberry tea and topped it with some steamed soy milk in my Starbucks cup that I bought in Prague. (We don’t have Starbucks in Sweden)
Watched some TV, checked some blogs and generally just did nothing… bored, lonely and totally uninspired to do anything. Eventually I noticed it was dinnertime, but I wasn’t hungry so I just made a favorite snack…
6pm Snack. A peeled apple in soy yoghurt. Yum!
More boredom followed and then…
8pm Evening snack. Couldn’t resist having my evening snack while watching Ugly Betty. Two carob rice crackers and honey vanilla chamomile tea.
Total calories: 737 kcal
(Ugh, so not proud of my lack of exercise today)
In other news, I’m seriously considering getting these two (above). I’ve heard so much positive feedback about “The 30-Day Shred” in the blogosphere and I’m hearing a lot about Jillian Michaels’ new book now too, Master Your Metabolism. It sounds really interesting and definitely like “my kind of book”. I’m this close to snazzing it off amazon.com. What do you think – should I?
