Play dead?

Every once in a while I’m a stand-in in movies and TV shows, it’s a lot of fun and something I definitely enjoy. Since I was a kid I had this dream of becoming an actress, I took acting and drama classes and loved it. I still have that dream and we’ll see what happens with it.

This morning I got a call from a movie production company, they want me to be a stand-in in a TV series they’re filming in late June. It’s a bit of a more advanced stand-in role where I will be playing a dead person in a morgue and also filming a scene where I am being revived at a hospital. I got really excited about it, up until the point where they called me again later this afternoon and gave me the heads up that the morgue-scene is being filmed in an actual morgue…with real dead people around me. Um, okay then. I’m going to have to give this some serious thought, I don’t really know if I’m up to lying in a morgue surrounded by other dead people, I might panic. Especially since they informed me I will be closed in with the dead bodies for a while during taking. Eeek.

In other news! As I mentioned in my post this morning I was on my way out the door as I was writing. So here’s what else went down today:

9:55am Breakfast. Got up and had my usual breakfast, the last two slices of date bread with Tofutti vegan cream cheese, plain soy yoghurt with a kiwi and a tablespoon of ground flaxseed. And a cup of green tea with aloe vera hit the spot!

After letting my brekkie digest a bit I headed out for a powerwalk and run for an hour. When I got home I took a shower and got all dolled up, did some surfin’ on the net, blogging and blog-checkin’ and then headed out the door to go meet my brother in town to check out an exhibition he’s made along with his university class in a mall in town. It was very creative and cool. After checking that out we went to have a cup of coffee (I had a cup of rooibos tea) and talked for a good hour before he headed back to the mall. I didn’t get home until after 4pm so I figured I’d just wait a while and then made dinner.

5pm. Dinner. I crave this meal ya’ll, I loove it. This is my crack-meal, seriously! A flatbread with Tofutti vegan cream cheese, iceberg lettuce and cucumber topped with silken tofu that I mixed up with some herb salt and pepper-mix. In the bowl I had plain soy yoghurt with a peeled and chopped pink lady apple (le yum!) and I also made a protein shake with my prosoy-powder and soy milk.

Nothing good on TV on Thursdays but there were a couple of movies on so mom and I did some zapping and I had a little evening snack.

8:50pm Evening snack. A cup of Celestial Seasonings vanilla spice-something-or-other tea (I had the last bag of blueberry tea last night, t’was a sad, sad thing) and two carob covered rice crack(ers)!

Exercise today:
1h powerwalk/jog
100 crunches

I finished the second book in the Millenium-series by Stieg Larsson this morning (gaah, so exciting!) and started the third book now. It’s like over 700 pages and I’ve only read about 50 pages so far, but it’s already so nailbitingly good! So, as usual I’m about to crawl into bed and read a couple of more pages before hitting the lights and drifting off into dreamland.

Oh, and don’ t miss the fun giveaway over at A Year of Healthy Eating!

Hope you’ve had a fantastic Thursday!

Today, I’m leaving it up to you to ask me questions! Ask me anything in the comments section and I’ll answer the Q’s in my next post!

The movies!

This evening my mom and I went to see “Män som hatar kvinnor” (The girl with the dragon tatoo is the english title although that does NOT translate the Swedish title which directly translated would be: “Men who hate women”) at the movies. It’s based on the book I recently read by Stieg Larsson. It’s such a fantastic book and the movie was really good too! I’m just about finished with the second book (The girl who played with fire) and I just bought the third book in the series today. The second and third books are also being made into movies and hit screens this fall (in September and Novemer). The movie and books are crazy popular all over the world and have sold in millions and millons of copies worldwide and been translated to like a gazillion different languages.

In other news, I’ve got an appointment tomorrow morning so I’m hitting the sack soon (as always) to read a couple of more pages in my book and then hopefully get up at a decent hour tomorrow morning so I have time to go for a walk/run before my appointment. Today was another rather gray and cold day so I didn’t make it out on my powerwalk/run. I did however powerwalk to and from the grocery store (40 minutes) carrying suuuch heavy groceries on the way home. So I gave my tush some movement anyway!

I had an appointment this morning too, so I had breakfast when I got home. And as you see, it wasn’t exactly a surprise… (I swear I’m not just recycling my pictures every day!)

11:15am Breakfast. Two slices of date bread with Tofutti vegan cream cheese. Plain soy yoghurt (love!) with 1 tbs ground flaxseed and a small peeled and diced apple.

3pm Lunch. About 1/4 of a really yummy mango. And my wrap filled with iceberg lettuce (in not as crazy portions as yesterday), cucumber, Tofutti vegan cream cheese and plain tofu. I also had a protein shake.

My mom and I headed out to the movies around five-ish and by then I wasn’t hungry so I figured I’d just have an evening snack when I got home. I got kind of hungry during the movies but had a lovely evening snack planned already and skipped right to it when we got home.

9:45pm Evening snack. Two thin cracker-breads (called “Rån”) with some Tofutti vegan cream cheese, a slice of Tofu papricano and some cucumber. And a tiny and very crisp apple. In the duck-mug this evening was a new tea my mom and I bought at the grocery store on our way home – Celestial Seasonings Organic Sweet Clementine Chamomille. It was very tasty!

Exercise today:
40 minute powerwalk
100 crunches

And with that I shall bid you farewell for this time my lovelies. I can’t wait to hop into bed and continue reading my exciting book!
